New Common Application Goes Live July 1

Once AP’s, finals and standardized tests are done this spring – downtime is in order – I recommend taking a couple of weeks to relax! Right around this time (July 1) is when the newest version of the Common Application will be launched and it’s the right time to get started on this process. Getting some journal writing in, is a great way to later identify unique essay topics – and getting those rough drafts written over the summer is a blessing come fall when the schoolwork begins to pile up again. Many colleges don’t release their supplemental essay questions until later in the summer – So, when visiting colleges or their websites take some notes as to why you think you’re a good match for that college. Remember to keep your antennas up for the non-Common App schools as well.
